The Kruger Wildlife Tour
The world renowned Kruger National Park in South Africa is one of the finest big game territories that promises 'adrenaline-racing' wildlife encounters. The Kruger Park has 'shone' in the lime-light most recently due to an incredible wildlife sighting of a battle between a pride of lions and a crocodile over a buffalo calf - this amateur video footage, dubbed the 'Battle at Kruger', was taken whilst on a Thompsons Tour. The Battle At Kruger is the hottest download ever on YouTube! Come and experience your own special encounters with Africa's wildlife and capture your own treasured memories.
The Kruger National Park is one of life's 'must-do' experiences. So if you want a more basic back to nature adventure, or a luxury safari, or if you would prefer a self-drive holiday within Kruger. The
Itinerary - The Kruger Wildlife
Day 1: Johannesburg / Kruger National Park (D)
We leave Johannesburg at 07h00 and head north towards the vast wilderness of the Kruger National Park. After a short stop for tea we arrive at the safari hub of Hazyview, where you will climb aboard open safari vehicles and head out for your first game experience. Game sightings begin virtually as soon as we enter the reserve, which is home to Africa's Big Five as well as 147 species of mammals, and an incredible array of reptiles and birds. Enjoy your first afternoon open safari vehicle game drive whilst your Ranger informs you of all manner of interesting facts about Kruger and her inhabitants. After your game drive you will make your way to the rest camp for dinner and your first nights sleep in this famous patch of bushveld.
Accommodation: Kruger Rest Camp or similar
Day 2: Kruger National Park (BD)
A full day seeking out Kruger's creatures, big and small. The wildlife escapes the full force of the African sun by retreating into dense bush during the heat of the day, and with this in mind, the best game viewing opportunities are during game drives in the early morning and late afternoon. We follow the animal's example by taking a midday siesta! Dinner and overnight at a rest camp in the park.
Accommodation: Kruger Rest Camp or similar
Day 3: Kruger National Park / Johannesburg (B)
Enjoy an early morning game drive then tuck into a hearty breakfast before returning to camp around mid morning. We then leave the park and travel back to Johannesburg arriving at around 19h00.
